AND THE WINNER IS...

#4 - Lexsea Mann - CONGRATULATIONS!

The winner was selected using {Random.org}

Here is her selection and reason for picking it:
"I loved the {Alessi - Mediterraneo Kitchen Jar Collection} with the red coral pattern over the clear, crisp jars. I inherited my mom's sand collection (little jars filled with sand from all over the world) that I keep in the kitchen. I think these jars with the whole mediterranean, ocean-feel would look great next to these smaller glass sand-filled jars. Plus, I love keeping my kitchen looking neat and contained... and these would be perfect to keep something I use often in."

Here are some of the other items selected by readers:

Thanks for entering and thanks so much to {AllModern.com} for this opportunity!

Mother's Day <3

I know that we are only 2 days away from Mother's Day, but here are some sweet gift ideas...maybe for a belated one? Top to bottom:

1. Hand-printed {sachets} with a pair of fern fronds on soft natural linen. They are filled with dried organic lavender buds. These would look great on a dresser or a bathroom shelf and will also add a fresh natural scent to your linen closet or lingerie drawer.

2. Not only are these necklaces a cute idea for mothers, but it also looks nice! The lettering on each {necklace} is individually hand stamped. The hammered and antique some pieces to give them distinction and antique charm.

3. I love the one-of-a-kind, limited edition patterns, and fabric combinations of these purses. They are handmade by {MS Handbags} in Sydney, Australia.

4. Looking for the perfect accent to your living room or bedroom? You just might find it here! These pillows by {Alexandra Ferguson} are made using 100% post-consumer recycled felt, that is made from recycled water bottles. One pound of fiber is the equivalent to of 10 water bottles that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. Each pillow cover is made up of about 4 water bottles. And to make it even better - the felt is also made in the USA! Other than her side, her work can be found on {Etsy} as well.

Papaver Vert - Felted Plant Cozies!

There are beer koozies, so why not a potted plant cozy? Based in Northern California, this designer Patty Benson started {Papaver Vert} in 2007, turning her apartment at the time into a creative studio. Her designs are based on form, function, and bold color. Papaver Vert means Green Poppy - a name that is representative of the luxuriously soft but a renewable and eco-friendly material. I think these are awesome - they are first hand crocheted using a wool/mohair blend, then wet-felted through several wash cycles, dried around molds, trimmed and finally steam blocked. Aside from the pot cozies - she also designs and creates other housewares such as coasters, bowls, pillows, and pin cushions. I have made a few posts lately about products made of felt/wool in ways I haven't thought of before.

I Love You, West Elm.

Can I please just own everything from {West Elm}? I really don't have much more to say other than, I just received their new catalog and found it dangerously tempting - along with the emails I get from them a few times a week regarding sales. I should probably take myself off their mailing list during these terrible economic times...but wait...tax return money put to good use?? Ok, ok i'll stop with utter nonsense...I love you West Elm, that's all I'm trying to say!

thomaspaul Designs

I found this designer, {Thomas Paul} on the {blog} by {2Modern}. 2Modern works to recognize the works of designers who are supporting our local economies and keep all manufacturing in the US. Thomas Paul graduated from the New York Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in textile design. He got started as an intern for DKNY and then moved on to work for many other designers. All of this eventually led to the creation of the thomaspaul pillow collection, launched in 2001. The line has steadily expanded into other categories, with the ultimate goal being to have products covering every aspect of a home and all including thomaspaul patterns.
