Crate & Barrel Faves

With the 4 weddings this summer and one more in the fall, I have been spending a lot of time taking a look at gift registries! I am going to have to say my favorite for now is Crate & Barrel. I have selected some of my faves they have out now - I want 'em all!

The Do It All Knife - Concept

I love seeing all sorts of concept products out there in hopes of them one day being on the market - this is one of them. This set of multi-use knives is pretty awesome, cramming many functions into one and saving space in your drawers. This is a concept by {Caroline Noordijk}, and it includes three knives. They make use of the unused side of knives, which is pretty smart. In theory this would be a nice idea for those who need to save space, but for the most part I enjoy having all my kitchen tools and gadgets separate and would be too accident prone to try and peel a potato with a giant knife...

Drinking from Mason Jars

I have been seeing more and more restaurants these days serving drinks in mason jars, even some pretty nice restaurants. I personally love the way it looks :) However, if you like the idea but don't want to use an actual mason jar...I found these cool multi-purpose working glasses from {Crate and Barrel}

PS: Sarah Garza...this is for you :)

La Marquise des Anges

These hand painted 100% cotton tea towels were found on the {La Marquise des Anges} Etsy shop. I liked how they are simple yet playful and love the colors together :)

Live Wire Farm - TIMBER

These are some really beautiful handmade works by {Live Wire Farm - TIMBER}. My favorite are the napkin rings! All of these are made with natural wood that is carved and sanded to be functional, but doesn't lose its original true form and characteristics.

SassBoxClassics

Owner of Etsy shop {SassBoxClassics} has an addiction for "old stuff", as she puts it. Now, I will say that I am not particularly fond of all things old or considered "vintage", but I do love quite a bit of it. Here are a couple of my faves from her fun collection. I have seen that style of Pyrex bowls before, in fact my grandmother has a set - a pretty gnarly 70's yellow-ish brown color. I was surprised when I saw this green set - I love them! I want them! The floral accents on the dripcut syrup server/dispenser gives a nice touch to an often boring tabletop item. It is a 70's vintage Henry Keck design for Santa Barbara Dispenser Inc. I'm also diggin' the three vintage Pyrex 60's coffee rounders with dark chocolate brown and terra cotta stripes with an unusual matte finish. These are made without handles and 1/4" thick for a nice heavy feel and acts as a hand warmer - something I often need :) Great collection!

Potholders!

I really don't have the time to be doing this, so many other things I should be doing instead, but I am going to visit my grandparents this weekend and I want to take a few pieces I have sewn to show her! She is gonna be so proud :)

First Sewing Project is a Success!

Sorry, but until I am able to have someone model the apron, close ups are all I am going to show...But if you are familiar with Amy Butler's patterns, then I am sure you have a pretty good idea what it looks like.

A Beautiful Home :)

Something else I really love is seeing different homes and how they are decorated both inside and out. I love open houses far too much for someone who is not in the market to by any time soon. I found this home tour on the {Sugar City Journal} blog. It is exactly my taste. I enjoyed seeing all the different way she arranged her eclectic variety of furniture and other elements of interior design. Things ranging from {West Elm} (a fave of mine), to flea market (a new fave of mine), and pick up off the side of streets (something I have yet to do). This home belongs to {Jackie} and her family from Berkeley, CA. This home truly has an incredible blend of found vintage and newer pieces that are perfectly chosen. Many things have also been built by her husband. So cool! I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.

BeanPickleSprout Creations

I fell in love with these adorable creations. These beautiful potholders, onesies, towels, and pillows are made by a mother of 3 in Colorado Springs. The name {BeanPickSprout} is a combination of the nicknames of her children. She sews in her spare time and products are handmade to order. The bibs are made from a cotton {Amy Butler} print fabric and are coordinated with Gerber Onesies. The fabric applique has been sewn to a piece of felt before being added to the onesie for added durability. SO CUTE!!!

Fun Trivets!

I found these really awesome trivets today on {re:modern}, in their section of gifts under $30. They are modern and have a cozy feel to them. Being that they are die cut from industrial wool felt, which is naturally heat resistant, it is perfect to protect any surface. These are from {bookhou} - a really great source for modern handmade designs from Toronto, Canada.
